Crystal Cove is an ocean view community near Crystal Cove park in the Lantern Village area of Dana Point.  This is a popular area that is located on a hill just above Pacific Coast Highway with homes overlooking the park with wonderful coastline and ocean views.  The views are mainly to the south with the bluff front Marriott Hotel and coastline starting from the Doheny Beach area and continuing down past San Clemente.

The Crystal Cove Park is a long stretch of grassy area with a walking trail around the park.  At the very far end of the park is a fenced in dog park area which also offers views of the ocean.  This is a public park that is free for residents to enjoy and located very close to the downtown Dana Point area

Dana Point is a city that is rich in history and dates back to the early 1920's when some of the first homes were built here.  The downtown and Capistrano Beach area is the most populated area for these older homes that are often built in the Spanish architectural style.  Located on the beach are a small handful of historic homes that are considered beach front since they literraly sit next to the sandy beach.  This area of Dana Point is often referred to as Beach Road or Capistrano Bay.  The community has changed dramatically since the 1920's as many of the homes have been built on the empty lots with huge Mediterrean and Contemporary style homes.
