Emerald Ridge Ocean View Homes are some of the more sought after homes in this luxury gated community in Dana Point.  Nestled on the Dana Point and Laguna Beach boarder is the upscale community known as "Emerald Ridge."  Homes in this community are some of the most expensive for a non-oceanfront community with home prices starting at just under $1.5 million.  Properties with ocean views currently start at just over $2.6 million and go as high as just under $3.7 million.  These are large homes located on large lots.  The average size home in this community is right around 3,800 sqauare feet with four bedrooms and three baths.

Thunderbird Capistano is a hidden community in Dana Point where homes can have wonderful ocean views.  The community is located just east of Golden Lantern and west of Del Obispo street in Dana Point.  One of the things I really like about this community is how owners really have pride of ownership and take very good care of their homes.  The ocean views are at a distance so don't expect to find 180 degree panoramic views like you would in other parts of the city.  What you will find are quality homes that were built in the mid 1960's and 1970's that often feature 3 car garage with a wide variety of one and two story homes.

Lantern Bay Estates ocean view homes capture the true essence of living near the Harbor in Dana Point, California.  Located in the direct center of the city and on the ocean side of Coast Hwy is one of the most top communities in the city limits of Dana Point.  The neighborhood itself is rather small and is home to only 42 homes on 5 small cul-de-sac streets.

The 4th of July is a great time to relax with friends and family and some of the best fireworks can be seen from the Dana Point area.  One of the great parts about watching the celebrations is you get to see multiple celebrations from neighboring cities of San Clemente and Laguna Beach who also celebrate with fireworks.  Dana Point is ideally situated in the middle of these two towns so it's not uncommon to watch three celebrations at one time!

The Tennis Villas community in Dana Point is a great place to find both ocean and golf course view condos.  The complex is located directly across the street from the luxury St. Regis hotel and offers one of the best locations in Dana Point.  Since the beginning of this year condos have been selling in the mid $500,000 range with ocean view condos starting at $635,000.  A total of 7 condos have sold this year with only one remaining condo that is listed for sale at $579,000.  The community has two main view streets known as "Centre Ct" and "Tennis Villas Dr" that offer great ocean views.  "Centre Ct" street is located on the front row and has direct views of the ocean and the tennis courts at the Tennis club as pictured below.

Monarch Hills Ocean View condos are some of the most affordable ocean view properties to be found in the Dana Point community.  For those not familiar with Dana Point, Monarch Hills is a condo community that is located a very short distance to the beach and located within a luxury gated community called Ritz Pointe.  The condos has walking trails that go through the Monarch Beach golf links adjacent to the St Regis Hotel and connects to the beach through an underground tunnel.  The community itself has 36 four story buildings that offer both ocean and valley views.  If privacy is a concern for you then these condos may not be the best fit as they are located very close to each other.  The benefit is the ability to live in a prime location for prices well

Dana Woods is a nice and quiet community located on the outskirts of the Dana Point city limits.  One visit to the location and you would think that you were in the country with wide open spaces with large park areas and upgraded community pool and play area.  What makes the Dana Woods community unique is the residents who live here.  First, the neighborhoods were built in small cul-de-sac streets where you will find just a small handful of homes located on each of these streets.  This creates a very strong bond amongst neighbors and has a more intimate feel than other residential neighborhoods in Dana Point.
