The Cape Cove community homes offer a world of charm and character in this Cape Cod style neighborhood. The community was first built in the 1979 and the concept was simple, to build a gated community with two story homes that are all built in the Cape Cod style architecture filled with coastal blue colors and white trim. This by far is one of the cutest neighborhoods you will find in Dana Point and the location is really ideal. From this location it's a simple walk across Pacific Coast Highway and then steps down to the beach through the Strand community. All in all it takes an easy 10 minute walk to the sandy beach.
The community has several different floor plans to choose from offering two to three bedrooms homes. The smaller homes will average 1,302 square feet of living space while the larger 3 bedrooms homes average around 2,110 square feet. The interiors of the homes for the most part have been upgraded and feature a small patio backyard that backs to common greenbelt area as pictured below. This would be ideal for small pets and children. Homes prices have really increased in this community in the last several years with current homes offered for sale between $810,000 for a two bedroom home and up to $1,695,000 for a three bedroom home.
The association offers two large tennis courts which are located at the edge of the community. Association dues of $466.00 a month are kept low since there is no community pool nor clubhouse but does include the gated entrance, external painting, tool, earthquake insurance and common area maintenance of the grounds. This is definitely a great community to consider when looking for a home in a gated community in Dana Point.
