Del Obipso Park is located just over one block to the beach and within walking distance to several condo neighborhoods.  One of the newest is the new South Cove community which sits just south of the park.  These are brand new construction condos and townhouses with model homes slated to be open in the next couple of months. The historic lantern district has gone under some major transformation on the last several years as the city has spent a lot of money revitalizing the downtown historic district in Dana Point.  The biggest change is a dual set of two way streets that cut through the city of Dana Point.  Before any of the changes took place Pacific Coast Highway used to be a one way street heading north and traffic would have to go through Del Prado Avenue.

One of the newest communities to be coming to the downtown Dana Point area is called South Cove and will start selling on December 9th, 2017.  The South Cove community will be located at 34202 Del Obispo Street which is situated on the east side of the famous Dana Point crossing bridge as pictured below.  For those who have lived in the Dana Point area for a long time will remember this used to be the part of the Dana Marina mobile home park that was located on leased land.  When the lease was up the owner decided not to renew the lease and all of the mobile homes were asked to leave.

We get a lot of request from buyers looking to buy condos in the Dana Point area that offers low homeowners association dues.  For the most part, all condos located in the Dana Point area will be under a homeowners association with dues required to be paid on a monthly basis.  We recommend the following three communities that offer some of the lowest association dues to be found in Dana Point.  First, the Spinnaker Run Dana Point community offers some of the lowest dues we could find and currently ranges around $304.00 a month.  Spinnaker Run is located off Del Obispo street and is approximately an easy 5 minute drive to the beach.  Condo prices are in the high $200,000 range for a one bedroom unit while two bedroom condos sell in the high $300,000 range.
