Dana Point Condos Walking Distance To The Beach

The city of Dana Point offers a wide variety of properties from stunning ocean front homes to amazing ocean view condos. For those wanting to find a condo that is within walking distance to the beach there are several great places we like to recommend. Of course, many people have different ideas on how far of a walk to the beach is considered within walking distance so we picked the properties we feel like are the closest to the beach with a short walking distance radius. There are still others that are located just outside our map coverage area so there will always be more that will be available at any given time. Here are our best places to look.
1). Lantern Bay Villas has arguably one of the best locations in Dana Point for a condo community. It's hard to get much closer to the beach from this location as it's just minutes to Doheny Beach and the Dana Point Harbor. The location is on the ocean side of the 5 freeway and is also within walking distance to many of the great restaurants and shopping located in the newly revitalized downtown Dana Point area. Over the years this complex was always know for Bein e more expensive than other condos Dana Point but in recent years these condos have really gone up in price to the point where a non-view two bedroom condo will sell around the $1.3 to $1.4 million range while something with a view would sell above the $1.8 million dollar price point. Amenities include a gated entrance and a wonderful community pool as pictured below.
2). One of the newest condo communities in Dana Point is the South Cove community. South Cove just finished building all of the brand new condos that are located directly across the beach from Doheny Beach. It's located on the non ocean side of Pacific Coast Highway with a bridge that conveniently goes over Coast Highway that leads to the beach. What I love about this community is the three story floor plans that offer modern amenities and often comes with an amazing roof top that can offer ocean views from select condos in this tract. On paper it doesn't look it would be that large of a neighborhood but once inside you realize that it's a pretty large community that just happens to be located next to the beach. For those who love shopping at Costco it just happens to be located down the street as well.
3) One of my favorite condo buildings for those looking for something on the smaller size and near the beach is the Niguel Beach Terrace community. Budget around $1 million for a place here and maybe more if it has some kind of a view but the location is second to none. it's located just across the street from the ocean front community of the Strand at Headlands. It gets even better, since The Strand is a new community the city made them put stairs and a walking path for the general public to use that goes directly down to the beach. So from the Niguel Beach Terrace community it's a very easy and quick walk down to Strands Beach. The units here tend to be on the smaller side so it's not for everyone and many use these as second vacation homes so keep that in mind when looking her. There is also a condo community called Chelsea Point that is located adjacent to Niguel Beach Terrace that is also very popular and is gated as well.
