Dana Point Harbor View Homes

Some of the most expensive real estate in Dana Point can be found for homes that sit on the bluff front and overlook the Dana Point Harbor. The Harbor is the number one place that is always associated with Dana Point and truly is a beautiful view. The Harbor is set up at the bottom of a steep cliff side where many of the view homes are located. There are many places to find single family homes in the immediate area and here is a quick guide to find the best properties.
The closest neighborhood to the Harbor would be the gated community of Lantern Bay Estates. This is a very upscale community which offers wonderful views and situated just one block to the many restaurants in the Harbor area. Not all homes in this community will have views but many properties will offer either a view of the ocean or the Harbor. Real Estate prices will normally start in the low $2 million dollar range for a view property.
Another great street to find Harbor View homes is the street called "El Camino Capistrano." Homes located on this bluff front street have direct and panoramic views of the Harbor. It's really hard to get a better view then from this location. The street itself is rather small and situated next to the Admiralty condo community to the north and the Lantern Bay Estates community to the south. The bluff front is mainly residential condos in this area so inventory of single family homes will be limited.
A less affordable community would be neighborhoods like Waterford Pointe that offer great view properties for right around $1 million dollars. This is also a gated community of Spanish style homes that have a central community pool and sports court. It's an easy 5 minute drive down to the beach and the Harbor area from this location.
