Dana Point Homes For Sale with No Steps

One of the latest trends in real estate here by the beach are buyers looking for one story homes with little to no steps. This makes sense as many of the baby boomers are realizing that they don't need a large home with a lot of levels and have often chosen for a simple one story floor plan. There are several neighborhoods in the Dana Point area that do offer some nice single level homes even though there are no senior communities like what you would find in the neighboring town of San Clemente like the Talega Gallery, Colony Cove and Bay Cliff Village which all are dedicated tracts for those older than 55 years of age.
One of the best places to start your search is the Niguel Shores community in Dana Point. A lot of our clients LOVE this neighborhood for a variety of reasons which include being located next to the beach, a secure guard gated entrance and lots community amenities like neighborhood pool and tennis courts. Of course, the biggest selling feature is having steps that lead directly down to the beach from the community. Within Niguel Shores there are a lot of single level homes with some of them offering the unique ability of not having any steps. These types of properties don't come on the market that often as there always seems to be some kind of steps that are found inside the home.
A great example of a home that is currently being advertised with "no steps" is the home located at 33641 Windjammer Drive in the Niguel Shores tract. The four bedroom, three bath home features over 2,200 square feet with peek ocean views. The home has been nicely updated with a gourmet kitchen with center island, cathedral ceilings and a charming interior courtyard space. It's currently listed at $3,370,000 and has been on the market for 23 days. It's important to note that there are monthly dues associated with living here as this home has dues of $915.00 a month. This covers all of the amenities that we listed above as well as location that is just minutes to Salt Creek Beach, Waldorf Astoria and Ritz Carlton hotels as well as the newly renovated downtown Dana Point area.
Some of the most affordable one story homes will be found in the Capistrano Beach area of Dana Point. This is a great area near the beach with custom homes that range from small one story bungalow style properties to large estate homes. We have seen smaller single family homes sell for under $750,000 in this community recently so there are still some great deals out there. Another great place to look is in the Lantern Village area of Dana Point. This is basically the downtown area so the properties here enjoy a short walk or driving distance to the many shopping and restaurants found in this area.
