Dana Point Homes Near Ocean Ranch Shopping Center

One of the most common requests that we get from clients looking to buy in Dana Point is wanting to be able to walk to restaurants, shopping and the beach. While most people first think about living near the beach in the downtown area they are soon shocked to learn how expensive this can be. One of the great alternatives that we like to explain to our clients is the area around the Ocean Ranch shopping center which sits on the border of the city limits of Dana Point and Laguna Niguel. The Ocean Ranch shopping center is home to large brand name retail stores like Trader Joe's, Starbucks's, 24 hour fitness, Cinepolis USA luxury movie theater, Wells Fargo and Ralph's grocery store. There are also many smaller boutique style retail stores and quality restaurants in this area as well. This is considered a very upscale area with close proximity to the Monarch Beach area of Dana Point.
Surrounding the shopping center is several condo communities that offer condos and townhouses that are typically priced at very attractive price points. These communities include Encantmar and Silvertide neighborhoods. Encantamar is a gated community that offers a variety of ocean view and multilevel townhouses directly across the street from the shopping center. There are currently two ocean view condos listed for sale. The lowest priced condo is currently listed at $585,000 and features two bedrooms, two baths with 1,247 square feet. The condo features vaulted ceilings, outdoor view decking a one car garage. The other condo in the community is offers the exact same floor plan and square footage but it more highly upgraded. It's currently on the market for $619,000 and has been on the market for 62 days.
The Silvertide community is located on the ocean side of the Ocean Ranch shopping center and also offers some ocean view condos. The biggest difference between these two neighborhoods is that the Silvertide complex is not gated. Real Estate prices are typically in the mid $400,000 range for a one bedroom condo and in the mid $500,000 for a two bedroom unit. There is centrally located community pool and spa with a total of 96 condos in Silvertide. Both of these communities offer a wide variety of shopping and restaurants found at Ocean Ranch which all are within walking distance. You could easily have very little need for a car if you work from home and use the many stores located at Ocean Ranch.
