Dana Point has several communities that offer enough land and space to allow for RV parking. Since Dana Point has so many communities that are under a homeowner association it's difficult to find space for RV parking since there are many rules and regulations put in place to restrict homeowners from doing this. It's much easier to find an older community that is not under a homeowners association that allows for more freedom to do various things without a community oversight. One such area is the Capistrano Beach area.
Capistrano Beach covers both sides of the 5 freeway with beach homes on the ocean side and large ocean view properties on the east side. There are select properties on the east side that have larger parcels on land with long driveways that can accomadate RV parking. Look for homes near the Harbor Estates neighborhood as the best place to look which often features wonderful ocean view properties. These homes are not under any kind of homeowners association and have more flexibility on what they can do. The location is an easy 5 minute drive down to the beach with close proximity to some great restaurants and shopping.
Another great neighborhood to consider is the Dana Knolls community. Many of the homes in this community were built in the 1960's and larger sized lots that can accommodate RV parking. This is an established neighborhood well before there were any formal associations in Dana Point so it makes it easier to have homes that can allow extra parking. Single family homes in this neighborhood are often priced between $700,000 to $900,000 and located near the Ocean Ranch shopping center and the Dana Point high school. From this location it's an easy 10 minute drive down to the beach and the Dana Point Harbor area. Our search located multiple properties that advertised RV parking with the home so this ultimately could be the best place to look.
