Dana Point One Story Gated Communities

Finding a single level home in a gated community can be difficult depending on what price range one is looking. There are many one story homes throughout Dana Point but very few are on the market for sale located in a gated neighborhood. The number gets even more limited if a buyer is looking for an ocean view as well. There are two gated communities that we recommend that have a large number of one story homes which will be explained here.

First, the Monarch Bay oceanfront neighborhood is the number one location for finding one story homes in Dana Point located in a gated community. The large majority of properties located here are single level in order to maximize the views. The community sits next to the Laguna Beach community Three Arch Bay to the north and the upscale Ritz Cove neighborhood to the south. Since the community is located on the ocean front, residents have direct access to the sandy beach and resort style restaurant on the beach that is run and managed by the St. Regis hotel. Real Estate prices for homes in the Monarch Bay community currently start at just about $1.3 million and go as high as $8.995 million for a spectacular 5,000 square foot ocean view property. It's important to keep in mind that a large majority of homes are still on lease land which is schedule to change in 2020. Make sure you get all the information regarding this before making a decision to buy here. These homes are normally lower priced compared to other neighborhoods because of this situation.

Another great neighborhood in Dana Point is the Bal Harbour community. This is a gated community located high on a hill in the south section of Dana Point. Not all homes will have views of the ocean but the community is positioned correctly to have panoramic views from this elevation. This is a very quiet neighborhood with one and two story homes that are located on large lots and with current real estate prices starting at just under $1.7 million. There are a lot of great walking trails in the immediate area and the beach is just a short 5 drive to Doheny Beach and the Dana Point Harbor.
