Emerald Ridge Ocean View Homes are some of the more sought after homes in this luxury gated community in Dana Point.  Nestled on the Dana Point and Laguna Beach boarder is the upscale community known as "Emerald Ridge."  Homes in this community are some of the most expensive for a non-oceanfront community with home prices starting at just under $1.5 million.  Properties with ocean views currently start at just over $2.6 million and go as high as just under $3.7 million.  These are large homes located on large lots.  The average size home in this community is right around 3,800 sqauare feet with four bedrooms and three baths.

Thunderbird Capistano is a hidden community in Dana Point where homes can have wonderful ocean views.  The community is located just east of Golden Lantern and west of Del Obispo street in Dana Point.  One of the things I really like about this community is how owners really have pride of ownership and take very good care of their homes.  The ocean views are at a distance so don't expect to find 180 degree panoramic views like you would in other parts of the city.  What you will find are quality homes that were built in the mid 1960's and 1970's that often feature 3 car garage with a wide variety of one and two story homes.

The Strand at Headlands in Dana Point is a spectacular new ocean front community that has seen some record sales in the past several months.  To date, 62% of the lots in the community have been sold with a record number of sales in the South Strand area that just opened up and features spectacular ocean views.  Starting prices for the South Strand lots currently start at $3,450,000 and go as high as $4,675,000.  The lots in the South Strand are located on four streets that sit above the entrance to the North Strand development and are considered some of the most sought after land for sale in the Dana Point area.  In fact, buyers are buying multiple lots to build homes that span over two lots with one buyer buying the lot directly below him to protect his

The Tennis Villas community in Dana Point is a great place to find both ocean and golf course view condos.  The complex is located directly across the street from the luxury St. Regis hotel and offers one of the best locations in Dana Point.  Since the beginning of this year condos have been selling in the mid $500,000 range with ocean view condos starting at $635,000.  A total of 7 condos have sold this year with only one remaining condo that is listed for sale at $579,000.  The community has two main view streets known as "Centre Ct" and "Tennis Villas Dr" that offer great ocean views.  "Centre Ct" street is located on the front row and has direct views of the ocean and the tennis courts at the Tennis club as pictured below.

Monarch Hills Ocean View condos are some of the most affordable ocean view properties to be found in the Dana Point community.  For those not familiar with Dana Point, Monarch Hills is a condo community that is located a very short distance to the beach and located within a luxury gated community called Ritz Pointe.  The condos has walking trails that go through the Monarch Beach golf links adjacent to the St Regis Hotel and connects to the beach through an underground tunnel.  The community itself has 36 four story buildings that offer both ocean and valley views.  If privacy is a concern for you then these condos may not be the best fit as they are located very close to each other.  The benefit is the ability to live in a prime location for prices well

Dana Woods is a nice and quiet community located on the outskirts of the Dana Point city limits.  One visit to the location and you would think that you were in the country with wide open spaces with large park areas and upgraded community pool and play area.  What makes the Dana Woods community unique is the residents who live here.  First, the neighborhoods were built in small cul-de-sac streets where you will find just a small handful of homes located on each of these streets.  This creates a very strong bond amongst neighbors and has a more intimate feel than other residential neighborhoods in Dana Point.

The Sea Ridge community in Dana Point has some of the nicest ocean view condos for sale and often priced well under $700,000.  Located in a prime area in the downtown Dana Point community, Sea Ridge has a lot to offer.  The association provides residents with a first class community pool, spa, clubhouse and tennis court.  Wonderful ocean views can be seen from these facilities which makes it feel more like a resort than a residential community.  I sold one of my first condos in this Sea Ridge community and was instantly surprised at how good of a view these condos have.   The streets are tiered up to allow ocean views from each level.  The higher the streets the better the view.  The condos will range from 2 to 3 bedrooms and average around 2,000 square
