One of the charming neighborhoods in the upper Dana Point area is a small community called Harbor Heights. The easiest way to find it is to take the Golden Lantern street up from Pacific Coast Highway and head north to a street called Dana Woods. Most of these homes were built in the mid 1980's and have a lot of charm and personality to them. It was only a few years back when a lot of these home could still be bought around the $1 million dollar price point. Since 2021, real estate prices for these homes have gone up a lot with the last sale over $1.7 million. There is currently a 4 bedroom home at 25096 Danapepper that has just over 2,500 square feet and is on the market for sale at $1,850,000. Real Estate is all about timing and prices have almost doubled in a period of about 4 years. Many think this current marketplace with high interest rates that real estate prices will come down but actually the opposite is happening since there is still a very limited number of homes on the market which has been keeping the prices very strong and steady.
