Historic Lantern District Condos

The historic lantern district has gone under some major transformation on the last several years as the city has spent a lot of money revitalizing the downtown historic district in Dana Point. The biggest change is a dual set of two way streets that cut through the city of Dana Point. Before any of the changes took place Pacific Coast Highway used to be a one way street heading north and traffic would have to go through Del Prado Avenue.
One of the condos in the Immediate area include the Pilgrim's Bluff. The building is located at the corner of Amber Lantern and Santa Clara Avenue and is just a little over a block to the bluff front the overlooks the Dana Point Harbor. Many locals are not even aware of this small complex since in the last 10 years only 9 condos have come on the market for sale. All of the units are two bedrooms that average 1,944 square feet and often feature ocean views from the upper level units in this complex. Units come with two car garages, living room fireplace, Master bedroom walk-in closet and outdoor view deck. Real Estate prices currently run $929,000 for a two bedroom ocean view condo. Homeowners associations dues currently run $479.00 a month.
Another more expensive option is the Admiralty complex. These are luxury townhouses that can overlook the Harbor with two levels of living space with attached two car garages. These homes were built in the early 1990's and feature very large Master suites with walk-in closets, jacuzzi soaking tubs and separate showers. Many of the homes have outdoor view decks and located in a private gated entrance that is normally shared between a couple of them homes. Currently there is one home for sale that's listed at $2,195,000. It features a total of three bedrooms with 3,510 square feet. On average, only one home comes on the market each year so inventory is very limited.
