Lantern Hill Community

The Lantern Hill community is one of the few gated communities for condo living in Dana Point, California. The community was first built in 1986 and offers condos located on the ground or upstairs level. The community is located on one single street that is called "Lantern Hill Drive" that does a circular loop to the main street known as "Stonehill Drive." This is a gated community with two gates off Stonehill Drive with one gate used for entrance only and the other gate used for existing the community.
The condos are located on both side of Lantern Hill Drive with the interior condos facing the central community pool, spa and clubhouse area. The grounds are very large and there is plenty of space to enjoy the great year around weather of Dana Point. Condos located on the exterior loop will have the best potential for offering panoramic valley and city light views.
Real Estate prices have always been very competitive in Lantern Hills and it's still possible to a condo here in the mid $300,000 range. Over the last 5 years the community did see a lot of short sale and foreclosure listings but now as the market is continuing to improve we see less and less of these types of properties for sale.
The condos are either located on the ground level or 2nd level which do require a number of stairs to get up to. The location is really ideal with an easy 10 minute drive to the beach and right around the corner from the Dana Hill High School in Dana Point. One of the only challenges this community faces is the high association dues that currently run $525.00 a month which includes the trash pick-up, water, community pool, spa, clubhouse, building and ground insurance.
