Lowest Priced Condos In Dana Point

Dana Point has some really great communities that are located near the beach and also represent some of the lowest priced condos. I recently took a listing in the Spinnaker Run community the is located about a 5 to 10 minute bike ride to the beach and was surprised to learn that it was the lowest priced listing at $325,000. It was a small condo one one bedroom, one bath and under 600 square feet so it's not for everyone but would be a perfect starter home for a young couple or a nice investment property. The community offers a nice association pool, spa and a bike trail that takes you down to the beach in about 5 minutes or so. Not too bad for $325,000 and considering it is currently the lowest priced condo in Dana Point as of the first week in April in 2019.
I recommend looking in the following communities like Spinnaker Run, Harbor Creek, Harbor Walk and Monarch Hills condo. All of these except for Monarch Hills tend to have condos in the $300,000 - $400,000 range and offer a location that is a short distance to the beach. Spinnaker Run & Harbor Creek are located right next to each other so I would start with these 2 communities first. Harbor Walk also offers low priced condos but I'm not super crazy about the location. It's a smaller complex located near the local Costco and tends to be a mixture of residential and commercial properties in this area. The location is still within a short distance to the beach so it's worth doing a drive by to see if you like the location or not.
If your budget allows you to spend in the mid $400,000 range then Monarch Hills condos hold the best value. These are located in the Ritz Point gated community and surrounded by multi-million dollar luxury homes situated next to a golf course. The units are small so don't expect large and expensive condos but it's all about the location here. The Monarch Beach Resort hotel sits next door and there is a walking path that cuts through the golf course and heads directly down to the beach. I love having the 24 hour guard gates that add an extra level of security. The buildings here are 3 levels with no elevators so keep that in mind when looking here.
