New Dana Point Record Sales Price

The Dana Point Real Estate market is heating up like never before with a record sale of an oceanfront home located a 33 Strand Beach Drive that just sold for $22,250,000.  This is the highest priced sale recorded in the Dana Point city limits and a true indicator that the real estate market is in full swing again.  The Strand is an exciting new community in Dana Point that is located on the ocean front as pictured below.

The community comprises of two separate neighborhoods known as the South Strand (ocean front) and the North Strand (ocean view).  There has been increased activity in the last several months at The Strand with 14 ocean view lots being sold in the last 2 months.  These lots often start around $1.8 million and can go as high as $11 million depending on the location of the lot.  There are two ways to buy land and re-sale homes in this area.  

First, many of the original owners of these lots have either listed them for sale or built a spec home and have listed them on the open market for sale.  All of these listings will be featured on our website with a link located below.  Buyers can also go the Strand at Headlands sales office which is located outside the community.  They will have access to many of the lots that may not be listed for sale.  The Strand just finished the beach clubhouse which is located on the front row and features an oceanfront pool with bar and fitness area on the 2nd level.  Even though The Strand is guard gated there steps that take you directly down to the beach and cut through the middle of the community.

If you are looking more for a low maintenance condo rather than a single family home you may want to consider a new ocean front condo that just came on the market for $5.8 million dollars that overlooks the entire Strands Beach neighborhood and has similar views to the photo above.  For those who are more budget conscious then the Niguel Beach Terrace community located across the street from The Strand offers condos in the $500,000 to $600,000 range.  This is an exciting area of Dana Point and I welcome any questions that you may have.
