Finding a home located on a corner lot has a lot of value to certain real estate home buyers.  A corner lot usually means that you only have neighbor to the side of you offering an extra level of privacy in the backyard.  Inside the home this often also means that you might have windows that overlook open spaces instead of looking at a neighboring house.  Some of the cons for buying a corner lot is that the location might be near a busy street where there is a lot of thru traffic adding to extra noise.  For the most part, having a home in this kind of location is a selling point that many sellers like to advertise when putting a home on the market for sale.  We did a quick search for current homes for sale in Dana Point and found 9 properties that were

Dana Point has several communities that offer enough land and space to allow for RV parking.  Since Dana Point has so many communities that are under a homeowner association it's difficult to find space for RV parking since there are many rules and regulations put in place to restrict homeowners from doing this.  It's much easier to find an older community that is not under a homeowners association that allows for more freedom to do various things without a community oversight.  One such area is the Capistrano Beach area.

Last weekend I had the opportunity to take a tour of open houses in the Capistrano Beach area of Dana Point and was really amazed how many single family homes are selling for over $1 million dollars.  Capistrano Beach has always been known as a very expensive community due to it's close proximity to beach and located on the ocean side of the 5 freeway.  During the tour I was pleasantly surprised to see quality homes that were actually priced under $1 million and seemed to offer a very good value based on the location and quality of the home.
