The lantern village area is well known for having great single family homes that can overlook the Pacific Ocean.  This area is also a great place to find residential condos that are within walking distance to the Dana Point Harbor with some ocean and harbor views.  For those looking for a large view then look for the condos located on Green Lantern street.  The street has arguably the best views in Dana Point with jaw dropping views of the Dana Point Harbor and coastline.  The cliffside that goes up to Green Lantern street is pretty steep but the views are really great from this elevated level.

We get a lot of clients who initially want to drive through the town of Dana Point is to see what areas they would like to live.  A good number of these clients identify condos located off Selva Road as the place they would consider buying.  What most of these clients are referring to are the condos off Selva Road called "Niguel Beach Terrace."  The location is arguably hard to beat as you can easily walk down the steps to the beach in a matter of minutes.  It sits cross a small road that is a bluff that overlooks the Pacific Ocean and Strands Beach.  The city of Dana Point has built two sections of steps that lead directly down to the beach which adds to the value of these condos.  Some of these units will have some small ocean views but most people buy

With real estate prices increasing in the beach communities it's getting much harder to find condos for under $400,000 in Dana Point, California.  There are still some viable good options available in this price point for 4 condo communities that we can recommend.  It seems like it was only a couple of years ago that many of these same condos were priced in the $300,000 range, a true showing of the appreciation values here in Orange County.  Here is our guide to condos in this price range.

The historic lantern district has gone under some major transformation on the last several years as the city has spent a lot of money revitalizing the downtown historic district in Dana Point.  The biggest change is a dual set of two way streets that cut through the city of Dana Point.  Before any of the changes took place Pacific Coast Highway used to be a one way street heading north and traffic would have to go through Del Prado Avenue.

We get a lot of request from buyers looking to buy condos in the Dana Point area that offers low homeowners association dues.  For the most part, all condos located in the Dana Point area will be under a homeowners association with dues required to be paid on a monthly basis.  We recommend the following three communities that offer some of the lowest association dues to be found in Dana Point.  First, the Spinnaker Run Dana Point community offers some of the lowest dues we could find and currently ranges around $304.00 a month.  Spinnaker Run is located off Del Obispo street and is approximately an easy 5 minute drive to the beach.  Condo prices are in the high $200,000 range for a one bedroom unit while two bedroom condos sell in the high $300,000 range.

The Spinnaker Run gated community in Dana Point has a lot of history to it as they date back to the early 1980's when they were first built.  At the time this was one of the closest condo buildings near the beach as a total of 120 units were built.  It's a quiet setting with small one and two bedroom units nestled against the San Juan Creek area which leads directly down to Doheny Beach.  The complex typically offers some of the best deals and lowest prices for condos this close to the beach in Dana Point.
