Located off Stonewall Drive in Dana Point is a small community of five luxury homes known as "The Five Lanterns" neighborhood.  The homes back to the Dana Hills high school baseball field are are conveniently located near the intersection of Golden Lantern and Stonehill Drive.  The five properties are attached single family homes that have low homeowners association dues that currently average $175.00 a month.  The dues include trash pickup, water, limited maintenance and insurance.  One of the five properties has come on the market and is currently listed at $584,000.

The California Cortina neighborhood is located in the Ritz Pointe gated community in Dana Point, California.  The community shares a common guard gated entrance with the Monarch Hills condos and Ritz Point neighborhood.  This is a great community for those who enjoy larger scale homes with golf course and some ocean views.  The most coveted streets in this neighborhood is called "Cassis."  Homes on this street sit right next to the Monarch Links golf course and have wonderful golf course views.  Some of these houses will also enjoy some ocean views and are located on a single loaded street with no homes located behind them.

The Monarch Beach area of Dana Point is one of the most expensive areas to live due to the large number of gated neighborhoods and close proximity to the St Regis and Ritz Carlton Hotel.  One of the best kept secrets for finding condos under the $500,000 price point is the Monarch Hills condo development.  Nestled inside the plush guard gated Ritz Pointe community is where you will find these condos.  These range from one to two bedrooms and can even offer views of the ocean.  There is a little path the leads down to the beach which runs through the Monarch Beach golf course.

The only disadvantage to these condos is not having a garage space.  Assigned covered parking spots do come with these units which is a benefit but many buyers have brought up

The Pointe Monarch community is a luxury community in Dana Point that has a very nice ocean view homes.  The community is one of the newer communities in the Monarch Beach area of Dana Point with homes built 10 years ago.  The homes have a really unique beach close location that has direct beach access by going through the tunnel that runs from the St Regis Hotel to the beach.  The best ocean view homes are those located on the front row and on the street "Via Corsica."  All of these homes will have great golf course views of the Monarch Beach golf links that sits in front of the St Regis hotel.  The lower number homes on this street tend to have the best ocean views.
